The PIG Zleeve was developed and designed by Antonio Zarzoza, better known by colleagues, students and friends as "Instructor Z." A 20+ year police veteran still active in the State of Texas, Certified Force Science Analyst, a published writer, and an internationally recognized police trainer that understands the inherent risks and dangers associated with armed intervention, whether as an Off-Duty officer or an armed civilian. The design considers human performance factors in critical events, such as:
- Limited dexterity with loss of fine & complex motor skills
- Time dilation & perceptual distortions
- Hypervigilance & overall heightening of the senses.
The minimalist design includes ergonomics and functionality with a standard black on black presentation that blends Ottertex® Waterproof Canvas and flexible spandex, the gauntlet comes with two high visibility color-contrasting dexterity enhancement pull tabs for rapid fail proof deployment under critical conditions. YES, even with the deterioration of the wearer's fine & complex motor skills.
