16 hours course.

 This intensive two-day certification course prepares professionals to competently conduct investigations involving allegations of sexual abuse and sexual harassment within confinement settings, in compliance with the Prison Rape Elimination Act (PREA) standards.

Participants will develop the knowledge and practical skills necessary to conduct objective, trauma-informed, legally sound investigations while maintaining professionalism, confidentiality, and due process. The course covers statutory requirements, investigative protocols, evidence preservation, interviewing strategies for victims, witnesses, and accused individuals, credibility assessments, documentation standards, and report writing aligned with PREA compliance expectations.

Through case studies, scenario-based exercises, and guided discussion, attendees will strengthen their ability to navigate complex and sensitive allegations with integrity and precision.

This course is designed for correctional investigators, internal affairs personnel, supervisors, administrators, and designated PREA investigators seeking formal certification and enhanced investigative competence.

Upon successful completion, participants will receive a certificate verifying training consistent with PREA investigative standards.  

12 hours course.

This 12-hour (1½ day) instructor-level certification course prepares corrections professionals to competently teach and implement the Tactical Restraint Application Procedure (T.R.A.P.) within their agency or organization. Designed specifically for the correctional environment, this comprehensive and fast-paced program equips participants with the technical proficiency and instructional tools necessary to deliver a standardized, safe, and legally defensible restraint curriculum.

Participants will develop the knowledge and practical skills required to apply and teach coordinated team-based restraint tactics that prioritize officer safety, subject control, injury reduction, and policy alignment. The course covers tactical positioning, leverage principles, controlled stabilization, communication during multi-officer engagements, transition to restraints, risk mitigation strategies, safety protocols, and articulation considerations for use-of-force documentation.

Through lecture, guided discussion, video analysis, live demonstration, and structured hands-on drills, attendees will refine both their technical execution and instructional delivery skills. Emphasis is placed on performance coaching, error correction, repetition, and the ability to effectively demonstrate and evaluate others in a corrections setting.

This course is designed for corrections defensive tactics instructors, training officers, supervisors, and designated personnel responsible for strengthening restraint competency and training standardization within their facility.

Upon successful completion, participants will receive official instructor certification, an instructor shirt, and a USB flash drive containing the complete instructional package, including the master lesson plan, written test with answer key, evaluation forms, and certificate template.
